Antigone Discussion Part 2

Quote: (Teiresias speaking) "Mark this, my son: all men fall into sin. / But sinning, he is not for ever lost / Hapless and helpless, who can make amends / And has not set his face against repentance. / Only a fool is governed by self-will" (53).

Question:  We talked about Creon's "wisdom," but here, Teiresias seems very wise. What do you think this shows about Teiresias' character? Do you think these wise words of advice convict Creon? Does this advice apply to other characters/events seen throughout Greek literature/tragedies?
